30th – Hayao Miyazaki’s Classic Animation Music Concert


Do you remember Nausicaa, Chihiro, San, and Ponyo? The Japanese animation master, Hayao Miyazaki has produced full of thought-provoking animation works over the past 30 years.

The father of Asian film music, Hisaishi, created tons of beautiful melody in Hayao Miyazaki animations to make the story even more beautiful and toaching. This year is the 30th anniversary of Studio Ghibli. Therefore, in order to celebrate and recall those amazing works, Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra is going to have a concert about soundtracks from Miyazaki’s classic animation from 1984 to 2013, “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind”, “Laputa Castle in the Sky”, “My Neighbor Totoro, “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, “Porco Rosso”, “Princess Mononoke”, “Spirited Away”, “Howl’s Moving Castle”, “Ponyo”, and “The Wind Rises”, to feel the magic from the animations and scores.
