Chen Shi

Saxophone

Currently studying at the National Sun Yat-sen University Graduate Institute of Music, majoring in saxophone under the tutelage of Professor Chen Pin-Hua. Actively participates in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles as well as teaching. Currently a saxophonist in the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, a teacher at the Caprice Saxophone Ensemble, a saxophone instructor at the Kaohsiung Industrial High School Wind Band, and a saxophone instructor at the Kaohsiung Citizens’ Wind Band. Began learning saxophone in high school by joining the wind band. Graduated from Wufu Junior High School, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kaohsiung Industrial High School, and the Department of Music at National University of Tainan. Previously studied under Professors Hsieh Cheng-Liang and Ku Po-Yuan, and minored in jazz saxophone under Professor Huang Pei-Yen during university.
