Concert Master

I-Chun ChenI-Chun Chen, a native of Taiwan, is an active performer, appearing frequently as a soloist and chamber musician. She has given solo recitals and chamber music performances in concert series and festivals such as the International Moscow Music Festival (Russia), International Magic-Clarinet Music Festival (Taipei), International Centrum Music Festival (U.S.A).

Ms. Chen received her Bachelor’s at Taipei National University of the Arts under the studio of Wei-Leng Chen, and Master’s degree at the University of Akron under tutorage of Jones, Kris Belisle. She holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Clarinet Performance at Michigan State University under tutorage of Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr. Currently she teaches at National Sun Yat-sen University as well as Tzu-Chi University. She also is the concert master at Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, Taiwan.
