Jen-Hao Cheng

Trumpet

Master's degree in Trumpet Performance from National University of Tainan and Master's degree in Conducting from Tainan University of Technology. The interest in the trumpet began in the Daciao Elementary School Wind Band, studying under teachers Chuan-bin Wang, Chieh-Fan Chang, and Ting-Chuan Su, and receiving guidance from international trumpet soloist Dr. Pierre Badel. Achieved multiple first-place awards in Taiwan Music Competition and Cheer Taiwan International Music Competition, and won first place in the Tainan City Music Competition and seventh place in the National Music Competition.

Currently a member of the Tainan Symphonic Band and the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, and has participated in performances with the Chiayi United Wind Ensemble and Chiasong Ensemble. Founded a TL Brass Ensemble in 2021, invited to perform at various events to introduce and share brass ensemble music with a broader audience.

In the field of conducting, studied with renowned Taiwanese conductor Professor Lien- Chang Kuo, leading the Kang Ming High School Orchestra to achieve outstanding results in student music competitions, and collaborating with the Tainan Symphonic Band for annual family musicals and the 20th-anniversary concert. Teaching experience includes serving as a sectional teacher at Chueiyang Elementary School, Chiahwa High School, and Yinghai High School. Currently, a music teacher and orchestra conductor at Kang Ming High School.
