Shang-jung Lin

Shang-jung Lin is an active performing flutist from southern Taiwan. Started learning flute at the age of ten, she received her Bachelor’s Degree of Fine-Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts﹐at the studio of Man-Nong Fan. Ms. Lin then preceded her study in France.Under the tutorage of Shigenori Kudo and Devy Erlih﹐she holds the “Diplôme Supérieur d’Exécution de Flûte” and the “Diplôme Supérieur de Musique de Chambre” from École Normale de Musique de Paris﹒She also passed the competition of flute at the level of “Supérieur”, with “Mention Très Bien” of École Nationale de Crèteil﹐at the class of Georges Alirol.

Ms.Lin started her career as a flutist and a teacher after returning to Taiwan, she gives solo recitals frequently, and she also plays in orchestras and various kinds of chamber music concerts.She currently teaches at the music department of Tainan University of Technology. She is also the Principal Flutist of Tainan Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra and Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra.
