Shu-Yuan Hsueh, grew up in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, began her studies of clarinet with Ms. Agnes Roussel. After completing her Bachelor’s degree from Tainan Theological College, she pursued further studies under the guidance of Reinhard Feneberg and Adolf Münten in Germany and received Diplom-Musikerin in clarinet performance from Hochschule für Musik Köln Standort Aachen, Germany.

Ms. Hsueh has been an active chamber musician during her studies in Germany as well as in her hometown, Taiwan. Aside from giving workshops and serving as competition and audition judge, Shu-Yuan continually devotes great efforts and energies to clarinet instruction for young performers, with many of whom being frequent prizewinners in regional and national competitions and auditions. Currently residing in Tainan, Ms. Hsueh appears regularly with Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, Chiasong Ensemble, as well as in various performing venues across South Taiwan.
