Yu-Chun Liu

Trumpet

Yu-Chun Liu was born in Pingtung and received her Bachelor of Music degree from The Taipei National University of the Arts and Master of Music from National Taiwan Normal University. She has studied with professors Shu-Han, Yeh. In 2007, she was admitted as a full-time member of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra. During college career, she joined Sound By Ourselves Wind Ensemble and SirensSymphonicWinds. She also traveled to Thailand with C.Y.C. Wind Orchestra and won first place in the first Thai King Wind Competition.She has participated in the performances of National Symphony Orchestra and Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra. Recently, she teaches trumpet at Sun Yat Sen University and Pingtung University, and lectures for multiple music specialized classes.

In 2006, Yu-Chun Liu was highly praised as she performed the Brandt Trumpet Concerto Opus 12 as a soloist with Tmuwe. She moved to Kaohsiung in 2007. She performed in numerous cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, and Suzhou along with .Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra. Between 2007 and 2020, she held many concerts in various instrumental combinations. She held a recital and a brass quintet concert in 2013 and received wide acclaim. In 2015, she performed a concerto at Chiayi City Cultural Center with Chiapei Elementary school. In August 2016, she gained wide recognition from her performance with Tainan Xinhua junior high school of Trumpet Concerto.
