Shu-Wei Cheng
Clarinet


A native of Tainan, Taiwan, Shu-Wei Cheng is currently a undergraduate student in the Department of Music at National Sun Yat-sen University. She previously studied at Houjia Junior High School and the Department of Music at Tainan University of Technology. Her former teachers include Ms. Mei-Shan Dai and Professor Hwei-Chi Yang, and she is currently studying under Professor Yi-Chun Chen. She has also participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians such as Thomas Lindhorst, Leif Arne Tangen Pederson, Rane Moore, Ming-Ho Yeh, and Yong-Nian Tian.
She has demonstrated outstanding academic performance throughout her studies. During her high school years, she served as Principal Clarinetist of the Kaohsiung Youth Symphony Orchestra, affiliated with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and received multiple institutional and external scholarships. She is currently a member of the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, where she continues to expand her stage experience and refine her performance skills.
