Ting-Yin HSUEH

Clarinet

HSUEH, Ting-Yin graduated from the Graduate Institute of Music at National Taiwan Normal University, where she studied under Professor Sung Wei-Te. She currently serves as Associate Principal of the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra and is an active member of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the Con Bello Symphonic Band, performing a wide range of self-produced and interdisciplinary programs with these ensembles.

In 2023, she participated in the recording project Neiwei Sound Lab: A 65-Channel Symphonic Experience with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and in the same year she performed in the dance-theatre production of The Funeral of Beauty, a film- poem by playwright Gao Xingjian, presented at the National Theater.

In 2022, she was invited to perform in the charity concert Prayers for Ukraine, jointly produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan.

In 2020, she was a finalist in the BUFFET CRAMPON Clarinet Competition, receiving Third Prize in the final round, and was awarded First Prize in the Wind Division of the National Taiwan Normal University Concerto Competition.

She previously served as an adjunct clarinet instructor at Chingshin Elementary School in Taipei and has been actively involved in music outreach and educational initiatives. She has also performed with numerous ensembles, including the Taipei Symphony Orchestra Wind Ensemble, HeySeed Clarinet Ensemble, ProArte Orchestra, Sun Taipei Phil, and the Infinite Symphony Orchestra, and continues to collaborate extensively with symphony and chamber ensembles throughout Taiwan.nd broaden artistic vision.
