Yu-Fang Weng

Oboe

Yu-Fang Weng studied at KHSH and Soochow University, where she was mentored by Associate Prof. Akris H. C. Hung and Associate Prof. Pei-chi Lee. After graduating from Soochow University, she pursued further studies at Folkwang Hochschule in Essen under the tutelage of Prof. Pierre W. Feit, and received the Konzertexamen degree.

During her studies in Taiwan, Weng was already actively performing with various orchestras outside of school. She was frequently invited to perform with the Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra and the Ming Hsien Orchestra. While in Germany, she also performed with the Essen Philharmonic and the Essen Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Since returning to Taiwan, Weng has collaborated with ensembles such as the Wings of the Angel Symphony Band, Macau Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra, and Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra. Her professional experience also includes working with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra and teaching at Soochow University, Tunghai University, and other music schools.
