Yun-Chieh Chen
Yun-Chieh Chen received the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste with the highest honors (à l'unanimité et les félicitations du jury) from the École Normale de Musique de Paris in 2022. He studied flute under Shigenori Kudo and Catherine Cantin, piccolo under Pierre Monty, and chamber music under Nina Patarcec. He also obtained the Diplôme Supérieur d'Exécution in chamber music in 2019 and was awarded scholarships for five consecutive years. During this period, he also studied at the Conservatoire de Ville-d'Avray under Gionata Sgambaro.
Chen has received several awards, including third place at the 2019 Concours Les Clés d’Or, second place at the 2022 Académie Musicale Augusta Holmès, first place at the 2022 Young Opus competition, and reached the semifinals of the 2024 3rd Hong Kong International Flute Competition.
In recent years, he has held several flute recitals, such as "Image de Paris" at the Weiwuying Recital Hall in 2021, "Années de pèlerinage" at the Weiwuying Recital Hall in 2022, "Le Printemps" at the National Recital Hall in 2023, and "Belle Époque" at the Taichung National Opera House in 2024.
Currently, he is a member of the Wind Ensemble and the Youth Symphony Orchestra under the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra. Additionally, he serves as a flute instructor at several music schools.
